I have struggled with forgetfulness for as long as I can remember—especially when reaching for memories of a childhood rooted in a place that is no longer home. Though I left Costa Rica, its warmth has never left me.
After moving to the United States, I stepped into adulthood, embracing life as a mother, a Spanish teacher, and a photographer. In 2010, I discovered a quiet, unique ability: with a camera in hand, I could truly see and capture the profound connections between people.
In those moments, nothing could distract me. I felt fully present, grounded, guided by an intuitive sense for recognizing the fleeting, meaningful moments we all long to preserve—a way of honoring life’s beauty through each image.
